Hi all!
Can anyone shed any light for me. I had just had my first UC payment calculated and was a little surprised to see that they are only paying 10% of my child care cost when it states they will pay 85%. My payment this month is £222 as I had some back dated pay in my jan pay so my salary looked healthy for the month! My childcare bill was £160 and they've paid £16. I'm just really confused and don't know what to expect for next month! It says on my statement... "we will pay 85% of your costs"....
I'm going to call them tomorrow but just wondered if anyone had any thoughts?

Actually wait for someone more knowledgeable to reply. Sorry

So I rang them up and they said that my invoice was from jan 1st to jan 30th but they need to see jan 27 - feb 27th. It's very confusing as they've looked at my wage from jan only! Apparently if I can submit my feb invoice in the next day or two then they might be able to back date me!

They do state they pay up to 85% and not actually 85% it depends on your income etc

It’s so weird how they work the stuff out! I was getting help with fees for my child’s after school club but they made so much complications that I could not be bothered to fight it and stopped my claim altogether. It’s only £160 for the month that I’m paying so the hassle of UC was greater than actually paying it.
