Help on maternity leave

Hello, I'm new to this and I am 25 weeks pregnant, I was hoping someone could give me a little help please on what extra help I could get whilst on maternity leave.

I am currently staying at my partners mums but unfortunately I can't stay there anymore and I will need to move out soon.

I earn £16500 a year at my current job which works out £1254 after tax a month so when I am working I understand there will be different help. But whilst I qualify for SMP and whilst my income will be going down to £140 a week soon does anyone know if I will get help to move out till I go back to work. And how I go about applying.

I'm sorry if this doesn't make sense I've tried explaining as best I can.

Can anyone give me some guidance please as I am just worried.

If you are at your partner's mums ...why are you a lone parent? Go on entitled to website but if you are living with your partner he will be expected to help

Any benefits are based on your usual salary and not SMP. So if you're living with partners family you're highly unlikely to get anything other than child benefit, which is £84 every 4 weeks

^^ that is incorrect.

Its now universal credit and you wait 5 weeks for the first payment. Its variable every month given what you earn, so salary month 1 say you might not get anything, month 2 you will be on smp so will.

Its paid in arrears too, so apply asap

Will your partner also be moving out with you? If so what is his salary as that may affect any entitlements.

Are you registered for social housing or do you have a private rental lined up?
