Struggling with child court proceedings

ashley786 · 22/11/2019 21:02

Having split with my partner we are unable to agree on childcare arrangements and have ended up in court , i am so overwhelmed and do not know what the future holds. I cannot afford a solicitor can someone tell me where i can find some useful jargon free information on how divorce and child arrangement proceedings in court work.

Any help would be appreciated... confused mum!Confused

You should put down what you realistically want and then other can tell you if it's likely to happen.
You don't need a solicitor if your aren't preventing or trying to condition contact.
If your fair it will be very easy. I know from experience. And if your not you will end up causing yourself so much stress it will be the only thing you think and talk about

As @noworlater13 says and be child centric focus on what is best for them. Why is your suggestion best for the children - continuity, stability, regular contact with both parents that has a routine.

Have a look if your court is covered here www.supportthroughcourt.org/ I know of a few people who have found their help immensely useful

Wikivorce website/forum saved my sanity and bank balance during all my divorce wrangling.

You need to have a clear idea of what you want and what you absolutely don't want.
