First holiday alone with children

Don't normally go AI but due to marital breakdown I will be taking DC on holiday alone this year. They are 10.
As such I think it might be better to go to a nice resort with everything on hand as I'm very nervous about this.
Has anyone been anywhere nice that they could suggest, looking at the Sensatori resorts as an option.
Would prefer a shortish flight around 3 hours and not Turkey/Egypt or Cyprus.
Thanks

Not been to the sensatori resorts although they look lovely but have been to the first choice holiday village in Majorca. It’s not for everyone but it’s AI, there’s lots for the kids to do (ropes course, swimming lessons, football sessions as well as drama, and a really well run kids club for different ages). There’s quite a few restaurants, it’s not too far into town/beach and I think they run a shuttle. There’s also an adults only pool which you can use if they do want to do any activities. It’s very family friendly and all of the other families were lovely so easy to get chatting to others. I have also heard good things about the one in Rhodes. I sound like I’m a first choice salesperson Grin

Have a look at the holiday villages (you can book through first choice). They are very good for families. Kids clubs/ football/ archery/ swimming academies plus all day pool side entertainment. Some have adult only pools which you can go to when kids are busy.

We are going here in Menorca on the recommendation of a friend. Saved £2k by booking direct with the hotel and Jet2 flights, compared to going through a tour operator. They have one bedroom apartments, so you could sleep on the sofa bed while children have the bedroom. Not my dream holiday but seems stress free with children www.insotelhotelgroup.com/en/hotels/menorca/insotel-punta-prima-resort-spa?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI6eTcvIXB4gIVibPtCh3V7Qz1EAMYASAAEgIY4fD_BwE

Costa doranda is 2.5 hours away I would go for either cambrills or maybe la pineda Salou can be a bit wild but it is a lovely resort and the buses are great you can hop on and off.

Holiday village. Totally recommend them. Assuming as you said 'they' you have twins so they'll have each other plus kids club. Win win all around. Have a lovely holiday.

We went to Tui family life islantilla last year
It was wonderful for the children. I liked it too. Its on the Costa de la luz in Spain.

I can't fault Tui we have always gone on Thompsons holidays.

I'm booking Spain for my first holiday with just my dc's (admittedly they are older so it's bars not kids clubs) Ryan air flights and found very reasonable ai hotel. Still deciding whether to pluck up the courage to drive out there!

Thanks, will have a look at those suggested.
I wasn't sure if the holiday villages were aimed more at younger children, we went to the Cyprus one when he was very little and it seemed more geared up to that age.
