Csa and custody

If you apply for csa from a father who is absent in there child's life do they automatically get 50/50 custody?
Can someone just tell me how it all works? And how applying for csa works?

Ideally I don't want to apply for csa as I don't want anything from him. But everyone thinks I'm mad that I don't 🤦🏼‍♀️

CSA figures are based on how much your ex earns, and how many overnight stays he has a year

Maintenance and access are two different things. Apply for it.

They are separate issues .

If he wants access he has to either speak to you or apply to court.

Csa is the legal minimum he should be paying.

MKing a claim through the cms. Will not automatically give him access. If he been no contact then he would need to seek legal advice and go through the courts

Getting child support he needs to be in employment so that they can track
Him down. You need his address and contact phone number and doesn't get put into place quickly. Any child support will be backed dates to when you first make contact with the Cms.

First of all, there is no such a thing as custody in this country. If he wants access and you don’t he will need to fight for it in court but if he has not shown any interest in seeing or supporting his kids, the likelihood of him wanting access are pretty small.

I would say however that if he was a nasty abusive or violent man, it may be better not to apply if this can give you and your child a miserable time for years to come (Yeah it is right and fair that he pays, but some of us decide not to apply for more as the amount we will be getting is not worth it when compared to the damage attached to that money.
