Children away for the first time

My daughters are staying with their dad this weekend for the first time since he walked out 2 months ago. I am so anxious about it and going to miss them so much. Anyone got any pointers?!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

First time my daughter stayed out overnight I was very nervous, so I court up on housework, then watched tv with my brother and ordered a take away, didn’t fully take my mind of my daughter, but helped.

First time is always hard. I went out with some girl friends and got drunk. Then slept the hang over off. Try and keep busy. And wave them off with a smile. Even though you don't feel like it.

My mum use to always decorate when my dad took us away.

First time is horrible. After a while you may appreciate the time to do non children focussed things.

I promise it gets easier - and there will come a time when you find yourself looking forward to their nights away.

First time is horrible, my dc is only a baby and she had to have overnight a few months ago when she was just 7 months old.
I put it in my head that this is my free time, I took a long bath washed my hair in peace and caught up on loads of crap tv. Few months on and I'm absolutely fine, I see friends or do whatever I want to do xxx
