Hi I’m just looking for some advice?
I’ve got a court hearing with my ex partner next week, we split up when I was pregnant for domenstic abuse reasons, he hasn’t wanted any contact up until 3 weeks ago when I started seeing someone. However now he wants shared care, due to my baby being so young (15 weeks) I’ve made her available for contact for 2 hour periods three times a week, however after the first two contact sessions he refused to return her to me, and told me she would be living with him from now on, I was lucky enough to get an emergency hearing and the judge ordered that she was returned to me immediately. But I’m just so apprehensive now about him having any kind of unsupervised contact. Has anyone had experience with a baby so young and child arrangement orders? Tia

Oh my that sounds truely awful for you and your baby.

Such small babies need little and often contact with the non resident parent. If you are breast feeding then clearly your baby won’t be able to stay overnight let alone more than half a day.
If he can pull that behaviour then I hope the courts would only allow supervised contact x

I unfortunately stopped a couple of weeks ago, it was horrendous, all she’s ever known is me and he kept her for 5 hours altogether, during that time he left her with a lodger who moved in 5 days earlier who he doesn’t really know, really hoping for supervised contact. Thank you for your reply xx

No experience but I am. Not surprised you don’t want unsupervised.
I would ask it to be moved to legal but also get legal advice. I would think his previous behaviour here cannot be ignored.
