Single parent holiday with a baby

Has anyone got any ideas or experiences of single parent holidays with young children? I have a 4 month old at the moment and want to get away with her this summer. I'm open to suggestions, be it camping, watersports, mum and baby retreats. x

Never heard of them for such a young baby. There are single parent holidays but they are aim at older kids. How about a holiday in a five star resort with a crèche. You can visit the spa and chill out.

I took ds camping with the help of a friend when he was little, very hard work though.i put travel cot up in tent. Took ready made formula and spent hours boiling bottles on a gas stove. I also used disposable nappies when on holiday. It was an experience. Make it as easy for yourself as possible.

Take sets clothing ready made up on little ziplock bags.

Hotel might be easier?

If you go to a hotel take your own kettle. Steralize in that. I read somewhere a story (urban myth?!) That people use the kettle provided to boil their pants in urghhh put me off for life whether true or not!

Are there any Air BnB just for single parents? Hmmmmmm maybe a gap in the market there!

What about centre parcs? A friend of mine was a baby sitter on call for CP and a nurse by day. Lots activities geared around families and easy access facilities.

Big hotels will help you with bags room service etc so if you can afford it, that would be my preference!

I've never heard of mum and baby retreats..sounds lovely though.

With your little one being only 4 months, - maybe 6-7 months by summer when you go - I would say focus on something you want to do, as baby will tag along with you if you know what I mean 😊 So if you fancy seeing a part of the world like Rome, a baby can easily go with you at this age, it's the easiest age to travel I think. Or you could stay closer to home, and maybe do a weekend break where there is a zoo or theme park with baby rides. I like another posters suggestion of a 5* hotel. Are you going abroad or staying nearer home? Xxx
