I cant get to grips with govt web site and not sure my solicitor is correct.

DH and I have one child. DH has another child (ie under 18 years old) who he pays maintenance for this child does not live with DH.

When DH and I separate I understand I will I get 15% of his pay (with usual provisios) but is this 15% decreased as he has 2 kids he is paying for?

Also am I correct that the limit on gross salary is £100,000 a year?

thanks

10 percent

ivykaty44 · 19/02/2015 13:53

it is 15% for one child and 20% for two children - as there are two mothers then you get 10% and the other mother gets 10% so an equal share of the 20% set out for two children.

Thanks, the other child ie the child I am not mother to, will reach 18 soonish. When this happens will my child revert to 15% of the absent parents salary?

Does the absent parent have to pay for an adult child if he goes to university?

Either use the calculator or speak to CMOptions. They provide you with the correct information. Ivykaty's advice is out of date and there are other things to take into account like pension contributions, taxable benefits and overnight stays.

headdoctor - can you show me as this is the amount me and another mother are presently receiving from and I would be interested to get up to date information if they are paying and collecting incorrectly for my dd - TIA

You might still be going through the CSA. New claims are through the CMS with different figures. You can find the details on the CMOptions website.
