Does anyone know anything about posting online images? currently i am the only parent with parental rights (this may change) but i am the resident parent. My ex and his family have been posting photos online of lo that i strongly disagree with. do they need my permission to do this? does it voilet my/my childs privacy rights?

do you post pictures of your child online? are the pictures offensive or abusive in some way?

no i dont post any online of my son as ive seen how photos and info of children can be traced. him, his family and people who ARE NOT related to my son are posting these on social media websites and they are on a public setting so anyone online can view these images.

Maybe ask in the legal forum? I am not sure you will win with this but would be interested in the answer. Hope it works out - I personally block everyone my ex knows so I never see stuff. Works for me!

How are they getting the pictures? Do you place your DC in their sole care?

If you believe that they are behaving in a way that puts your DC at risk, then you have a responsibility to prevent them having unsupervised contact with your DC.
It could be tested in court if your ex decided to seek contact; but if you have good reason for not wanting your DCs picture online (as opposed to it being a difference in parenting style) then the court will order in your favour.
