Was first hearing today, adjourned for a section 7 report and another hearing in 12 weeks time. Will this be the final hearing? Been told it will last 1 hr.

Not necessarily. It's likely to be a directions hearing to decide what is needed once the sec 7 is completed. It should say on your order :)

Thanks. Any idea what's likely to happen? An hour seems a long time.

It's almost impossible to say at this point. It will depend on the outcome of the report, what negotiations are made before the hearing, how far apart you and the other party are in terms of agreement on arrangements. Hearing listed for an hour may be over after 10 minutes or you could wind up being there all day. Not everyone has a final hearing -orders made by consent can bring an early end to proceedings - and not every final hearing is final - it's not unheard of for a final hearing to offer an interim order with a review hearing scheduled a few months later.

What's a section 7?
Got my first court date and feel clueless about what to expect.

Thank you. I am aware of whats going in the report because it already been discussed with social services, recomendations that I put forward will be going in there too.
Im willing to negotiate - he isnt, adamant he wants FULL RESIDENCE despite them not even doing it anymore (thick as pig shit springs to mind) even the CAFCASS officer said yesterday "not going to happen is it" about him having full residence.
Will the judge go through the entire report there and then at the hearing, question us on it etc?
