Finding a new partner when you have the kids at all times?

So I am a single parent to 3 kids, they haven't seen their father in 2 years, and I work full time .

Is there anybody out there who
A) have found a partner even though they have 3+ children?!
B) did not have weekends/ days to themselves to spend qualify time with new partner to be?

It's started to sink in that I may be alone forever! But I'm trying to think positively. Thanks!

Thanks largerleon.

It's not easy and with online dating you have to sift through a whole load of crap before someone vaguely decent pops up Grin. I was RUTHLESS!

It is difficult and I can't spend as much time with him as I'd like sometimes, but we text and speak as much as possible and he is very understanding that I can't just drop everything to go out. It can be hard juggling everything and I do try and fit all the boring day to day stuff in when I'm able, so that if I am childless and he is free I can just go; I'd hate to think "well I'd love to go out for dinner but really need to stay in and do the ironing..."

My children are my priority but with some planning and organisation I can have a love life too Smile

Oh lovely stories! I have just joined an online dating site! Wish me luck!
At first I didn't think I had time-
/patience for a new man. But actually I feel like I'm ready now!

My Mum was 36 and divorced with 4 children when she met my step-Dad and worked full time. She used to swap babysitting with the neighbours every few weeks.

I am 45, with 1 DS and work full time. DS goes to his Dads every other weekend and I still can't be arsed with blokes (lol). Way too much hassle.

Well, I only have 1 DC, but met my partner through OK Cupid at the age of 38. DS was 2. I didn't have much money, but made money for babysitters an absolute priority (after, you know, food and heating and all that Grin).

DP absolutely loves being part of our little family- he definitely loves DS as much as he loves me! I think he's always wanted to be a father, but had a long term relationship previously with someone who was unable to have children. We're TTC now- hopefully we'll be lucky, at 40 and 46.....

I have wondered this. I have DD with me all the time. Currently ending a relationship (I think...but it's complicated) and at the moment feel I will not have the energy or desire to pursue another one.

However I also have nights like tonight when I'm incredibly lonely. He would have to be very special however. I can't imagine trading what I have now for anyone who wasn't.

Only have the 1 child, but her dad only sees her in the holidays so too much time apart to actually date someone properly,
I am currently in a casual relationship, which is fine but I'd rather have something more serious. He pops over when little un is in bed, she's never met him but does know occasionally if he's here if she's not quite asleep in case she comes wandering in the bedroom in the middle of the night Shock or hears voices, but she is 11 so has some understanding although I'd never tell her much, he's just a friend as far as she knows coming over for a chat and watching telly :)
The only advice I can give is be prepared to meet someone anywhere and don't give up hope, chat to people and gain the confidence to speak to someone new.
Online dating can be ok state daytime or short dates are the way it has to be and you can chat to loads of people without finding the time to go on dates that may be a disaster from the start!
