What shall we buy ourselves for Christmas then?

I haven't had a Christmas present in years. Even when ex was here he never bothered so this year I will be purchasing the new Bill Brysonbook and a perfume of my choice, probably this one.

Anyone else? Smile

I will be buying myself two bedside units. I'm trying to make my bedroom beautiful. On a tight budget. Grin

So they may be second hand that I will paint.. Or possibly Ikea. That's what I want though Smile

I might buy myself a ring as I feel naked without one lol! And all of my rings were bought by exh so don't want to wear them.

Or I might just put some money into my boob job fund ;)

Bottox

RitaFajita · 27/09/2013 19:36

Getting my hair coloured professionally instead of doing it myself.

mumandboys123 · 27/09/2013 20:43

an expensive handbag - since my ex walked out, I buy one on my birthday and one at Xmas. I have a nice little selection now (before I only bought the cheapest one possible and used it till it had a hole in it) and it's something just for me. I always set a budget according to how things are, but it's always a handbag even if I have to get one with a red label reduction at TK Maxx!

Emilyeggs · 28/09/2013 07:16

What a nice idea Grin

muser31 · 28/09/2013 07:41

a collection of handbags sounds a lovely idea!

i think i might also look for a ring. i have an idea of one i want - silver and blue topaz, and have seen some lovely ones online. i want one for my ring finger on my right hand.

chocolatespiders · 28/09/2013 07:48

I think I will buy myself a nice chunky silver ring.

Zoe6789 · 28/09/2013 07:55

Yes, a scent of my choice in a stocking, hung up beside the children's.

Sparklysilversequins · 28/09/2013 08:08

I think it's easy to just not bother when you've no one to do it for you but why should we not have something nice even if its from ourselves Smile?

I agree, it took me years to see that. When I was Christmas shopping I'd see things I'd like and if I bought them I'd feel guilty. If that happens this year I will wrap them up! 'From the Universe to Me'

Sasquatch75 · 28/09/2013 13:07

I wish I could 'like' comments on here :)

We all deserve presents at Christmas, and maybe a little Wine ;)

DotCottonsHairnet · 28/09/2013 13:20

Like the handbag idea :) or perhaps some jewellery to my taste that I will wear :)

Zoe6789 · 28/09/2013 15:42

After smear tests I reward myself with a handbag. That is my tradition. It gets me through it. It forces me to book one. I only go about once every three and a half years. The last time I'd left it about five, and I'd become a little phobic about it. So I told myself after I'd been I would get a leather fossil handbag. I was true to my word.

Zoe6789 · 28/09/2013 15:43

ps, that is nothing to do with being single of course! and when I say tradition, I mean I've done it once and I plan to do it again.

HowardTJMoon · 28/09/2013 15:48

I always do this. I think this year Santa will be bringing me a new electric screwdriver. And maybe aDVD.

DumDum32 · 28/09/2013 15:56

I'm due an upgrade on my phone next month but will be holding out for xmas deals. will be treating myself to the new iphone (currently have the samsung S3) :) plus a new handbag & lots of make up. not that I go out a lot but when I do I like to make a little bit of effort. although nothing looks good on my fat body anymore :(

BearsBeetsBattlestarGalactica · 28/09/2013 16:23

A board game.

Maybe a dvd.

Definitely some chocolate.

farrowandbawl · 28/09/2013 17:36

I'm going to buy myself a ring (if I have the money).

A really nice one, one that I like.

mammadiggingdeep · 28/09/2013 19:17

Great idea!!! :) xx

mammadiggingdeep · 28/09/2013 19:18

Some new ugg boots I think :)

KatyPutTheCuttleOn · 28/09/2013 19:20

The new Bill Bryson book will be what I buy as well.

shellbot · 28/09/2013 19:36

I'm fancy buying a necklace that I can have engraved with my two son's names. Something like this:

or

www.notonthehighstreet.com/poshtotty/product/personalised-about-time-necklace

I haven't decided exactly which one yet.

queenofthepirates · 28/09/2013 19:47

I got myself a chemical face peel-best £60 I've spent in ages, my skin feels amazing

aliciaflorrick · 28/09/2013 21:41

Well I would like an Ipad, but I can't afford one, so I'm not sure what I want for Christmas. I may treat myself to a pair of nice boots, that will be a big box under the tree.
