Help! Suggestions needed! No help with Childcare, not lots of people to hang out with, limited money...

:-(

I'm no help at all. Don't know where you are but have you checked out the council play schemes. I'm my area they have free events in the parks and even at some indoor venues. Ring your local council maybe?

I'm not a lone parent but dp is away for weeks, we have a 5 week old so skint on maternity and my older kids are getting fed up. Hoped to have a really nice summer not working and its turning into a nightmare!

I second children centers - mine is open all hols and if you have under 5's is great! They have variuos play sessions and even a coach trip to the seaside! All for a donation Smile
If not, library do lots of activities for free and you can rent cookbooks, art books etc and dvd's/wii/v box games. Any local free/cheap museums? How abour fruit picking followed by making jam etc Smile
Kids sessions at the cinema? Though this has gone up, used to be £1 now the greedy buggars have increased it a fair bit but its still cheaper than going on a "normal" day HTH
