How apt, what a marvellous gift.

My problem is though, he wants the children to go and i always want them with me on my birthday. Shall i just not make a fuss as i am with them everyday anyhow?

Yes, i will book a lovely weekend, infact it's quite a good day to have. It's a fantastic gift for me to recieve, the fact that he will never ever again control my life and someone else can take on his needy self obssessed attitude.

You coudl book a holiday and ige him the gifto f his kids for the following week

welshboris · 03/04/2006 13:21

bet she doesnt know its your birthday

fairyfly · 03/04/2006 13:26

Do you know what p@sses me off more than anything. The fact he can afford it and has been saving up.

She doesn't know anything, she thinks i stop him seeing his kids, she thinks he gives me money every week, she thinks i still want him back, not exactly a good way to start a marriage in my opinion. Especially as she doesn't know our kids very well.

But i suppose that is none of my concern and i wish them both luck.

I looked at him yesterday and i really didn't find him attractive. He dresses like a ponce.

I prefer my real man with plaster down his legs.

Is he still not giving you anything FF? What a twat. Maybe a 'if ou want them at the wedding, you had better pay me regualrly..or else'

desperateSCOUSEwife · 03/04/2006 16:17

I would send the kids to the wedding
hypered off smarties and all kinds of E's (additives)

fairyfly · 03/04/2006 16:18

csa have caught holod of him apparently, he rang me and asked if i would tell them we could work something out privately, he was cacking his pants, i told him to sod off. I have no idea how long it will take but he will have to back date it from the day he recieved the letter. Slowly slowly catchy monkey.

Oh buy them a big congratulations card and write what a sweet gesture it is that he's continuing to keep the date special and how lovely it is that you're all one big happy family now. Then wish them all the happiness and joy in the world.

It never ceases to amaze me how much women believe the things men tell them about their exes.

Piffle · 03/04/2006 16:20

Make sure he enjoys his wedding then, if you're lucky it will take him longer to pay it off than it lasts for Grin
Karma... sit back and relax

beetroot · 03/04/2006 16:20

oh fatastic, iu do hope they get him goodadn proper..stupid arse.

motherinferior · 03/04/2006 16:22

I'm sorry you won't have your boys with you on your birthday, honey, but would take advantage of their absence to have inventively filthy sex and generally misbehave. Have a bottle of rather nice champagne to celebrate getting him out of your life.

Smarties, what a good idea.

fairyfly · 03/04/2006 16:27

Card is a great idea, i would love to write a poem in it.

Good the csa found him, i stil cant believe it took 3 years though, were they looking in another country?

anorak · 03/04/2006 16:27

I take you have made up with your man then fairyfly Smile

Have a lovely birthday with him and appoint another day to celebrate it with the boys.

Don't let the b*s grind you down. Stay cool. Think about what a lucky escape you had - it could have been you listening to the poetry recital!

He's obviously booked that day on purpose - what a sad git he is, can't even arrange his wedding day without allowing spite to control it. Rise above it, it's pathetic.

Freckle · 03/04/2006 16:28

Just make sure he doesn't try asking for them every year on that date "so they can help celebrate our anniversary with us".

fairyfly · 03/04/2006 16:34

I did anorak, another learning curve for us both, tbh falling out did is good in some weird way.
I think we appreciate each other more.

We came to mutual agreement eventually
CSA are arses I sincerely hope that in your case they are arses to your exh and not to you :)
They had

fairyfly · 03/04/2006 16:56

I just rang them, err he hasn't returned the form, i think this is going to be another long struggle but whats another three years hey.

The longet he leaves it im sure the more they can lift out of his wages eventually. Well you would hope.

Furball · 03/04/2006 17:11

I would say something like, 'That works well as I'm off with xxx that day as a birthday treat and now I won't need to worry about the kids.'

beetroot · 03/04/2006 17:51

can we help write the poem?

fairyfly · 03/04/2006 17:53

Yes, goes without saying it has to be a mumsnet collaboration, i couldn't possibly manage without you all. I think he deserves the very best.

OP posts:
fairyfly · 03/04/2006 17:55

but i think it should be an engagement card. otherwise i will have to wait too long and i'm eager to give my blessing.
