Claiming all benefits but work 16hrs or less .. are my benefits then reduced?

I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old and claim housing benefit, ctx, child tax credit and income support.

I was under the impression taking on paid employment of 16 hours or less meant I can keep that money I have earnt without any of the above benefits being reduced.

Is this correct? I can't seem to find a concrete confirm online anywhere right now..

I am probably wrong...but don't they take the benefits' back £ for £? if under 16 hrs?

Thats incorrect. You can work less than 16 hours however your income support will be reduced.

I work under 16 & claim jsa. I keep first £5 & the rest is taken off my jsa. My housing benefit, child tax credits arent affected.

Anything you earn over £20 a week is deducted from your income support.
But housing benefit, council tax and child tax credit is not affected...
If you do 16 hours or more you will qualify for working tax credit and you 'should' be better off!

Does the £20 a week only apply to income support?

Think so. I know JSA is only £5...
