when they say exp's debt is suspended what does that mean?

how do i go about getting my case notes from them?

quick story for those who dont know: been trying to get some maintenance from him for the last two years. gave csa all his details. csa piddled around for a bit, he didnt cooperate. they sent him some home visits, his partner says he doesnt live there. liability order follows, bailiffs sent round. then she puts a claim in for maintenance from him. (the woman has every fraud going) he goes self employed (still living there). she withdraws her claim. bailiff company..well apparently its all their fault. i send in concrete proof that he still lives there and always has. now apparently it will be passed to another bailiff company but another liability order needs to be raised. enforcement tell me they are waiting for paperwork before they can call in a different bailiff company. what more can i possibly do now?

Sorry to butt in here but seeing as I was so well helped yesterday on this board I would like to help by answering this.

Based on what I know, if CSA delays an assessement by more than 2 years causing arrears to build up then the NRP can get this debt "suspended" as a "remedy" for the CSA delay.

However from what I hear it is not all bad news - it is actually more of a stick than a carrott as, if the NRP so much as misses one maintenance payment following this suspension the whole arrears is due again. It isn't actually written off. Not sure what the effect of delayed payments are. So as long as y our ex still has some amount he has to pay you, then you can use this suspension to make sure he is never late and never misses but ask your CSA advisor for more details.
