I just wish I enjoyed it all a bit more.

Single motherhood and motherhood in general in fact. If it was more enjoyable then I wouldn't mind the huge sacrifices as much.
Poor dd was ill today. Came home and puked everywhere several times. Several lots of washing. Makes me feel awful. Worry. I had to cancel my Zumba class; my only thing I do just for me in a week and noone to help.

I do feel sorry for poor dd but also I feel a bit sorry for myself. I need a shag or something but I can't get one as I hardly go out and here I am covered in vomit and my living room smells of sick. Yummy mummy eat your heart out!

Disclaimer; I don't mean to sound so uncaring. I do care that dd is ill which makes it even worse; every time she is sick I worry about dehydration etc.

Yep it's hard! Sorry no wise advice. Blush

it's the worry that wears us out!!!

Sorry for you and dd...Sad

maybe a good film tomorrow tucked up together on the sofa??

another one with no wise advice. And you don't sound uncaring at all. I'm sure most of us have had those exasperated feelings when you just think "WTF" now.

I have had plenty times when I've been called from work to pick up DD from school because she's not feeling well, and I must admit my immediate thoughts have beenshite, how can I rearrange my work calendar and sort those things out I have often been less than fully sympathetic when I have picked her up Blush.

I have missed out on loads of classes, nights out, etc and you're right, it doesn't always come easily.

But, tomorrow can be a nice lazy day for you, lounge around on sofa in your PJs, enjoy some chilled time together Smile

I'm probably going to miss my friend's birthday meal tomorrow. She keeps being sick and can't keep anything down; not even water. I think I'm going to phone NHS direct.

I just wish I was one of those mums that found it all so amzing. I bet they don't find it amazing when they are covered in sick wrsetling armfulls of washing into the machine! Or mabe they have nannies?

At the same time I am worried and if anything were to happen to her I wouldn't cope at all.
