the first time...I would wait for 15-30 minutes (depending on weather if outside) to allow for traffic hold-ups/bus not turning up. After that I wouldnt wait any longer than 15 minutes. If its possible to agree on a strategy beforehand...eg one texts the other...there will be fewer misunderstandings in the event of any "no shows"

Find a cafe nearby that overlooks the neutral area? Did no-one thing of this when the handover was arranged, given that it is January? Just be fair, clear and consistent - tell him you will wait 5 minutes at outside area, then you can be found for a further 10 minutes in cafe (or similar) and no longer unless you get a text that he is running late.

No I did not think to mention it was to busy biting my tpunge and trying to be reasonable it probably be March before contact is not at a contact centre but it occured to mr when home as he has bad record not turning up or being hour or so late

So wanted to know what is considered reasonable Before mentioning to his solicitor

what balia said - so long as you phrase it all calmly and factually, then you're setting out reasonable terms and reasonable waiting times.

If your ex is running late and texts you, then that's something you'll have to play by ear on how to handle it, but I would recommend doing it all by text, and again, calmly and factually.

thnakk you have sent a email to his solictor outling my proposal that i will wait 10 mins outide then another 10 within the train station lobby after that I will take the dc home unless he has contacted me to say he will be late and this must be prio to contact not 10 min ater he due if in traffic one thing but not if he is just setting off.

Next question how is best to proove that I was there for contact time and he was a no show by time I leave

You're (probably) over thinking it - I used to try and evidence as many things as I possibly could at all times, but in the end it was neither asked for nor necessary.

Your "proof" of you being there and him being a no-show is, if necessary, the texts that you send and receive (or not), and from the consistency of your position you present to and how you handle yourself in court.

Although I had reams of texts and other evidence to back up my court statements, it was never needed as I remained consistent and transparent throughout, whilst soon enough she showed her attempts to mislead and misrepresent.

Try not to worry (far easier said than done), just stay mature and calm, don't lower yourself to respond emotionally (or at least don't send that response), and that should see you right.
