Lovely website and holidays but sooo expensive and mostly southern locations (OK, I know the weather is better Smile) but really out of my price range. The one I could have afforded is booked up. Someone post on here a bit back about another holiday company for LPs - anyone remember it Smile

There's Mango - my daughter & I went with them for 4 years, once to Devon and the other times to Spain. It was good for us at the time. There's another called, I think Lone Parent Holidays. Hope you find something!

I've been looking at Single with Kids and the holidays start at about £40 per weekend for camping and about £15 per person per night on some of the bunk barn trips so definitely not too expensive. The south is too far for me but there are lots of holidays in the midlands and the north and Wales, etc. etc.

There was a Centre Parcs trip last weekend at the Nottingham one but it was too expensive for me. I'm looking at some of the bunk barn trips, one in North Yorkshire and one in Wales.

Are you looking at the same site we are? I've been on a number of trips with Single With Kids and a Christmas trip was only £9 per person per night and we had a ball. It depends what you're looking for - you won't get 5 star overseas accommodation for that price but you do get a fun, cheap, comfortable holiday with a reputable company.

How much cheaper were you actually looking for?

I have booked a camping weekend with them (and now have to hope that the friends who offered me the loan of their camping gear are still good for that). DD2 is not a great sleeper so I am a little apprehensive and really don't think anyone would want to share a room with her (she is lovely but not at 2 & 4am - and then awake at 5.15)

I'm certainly not looking for five star Hmm but there are practical considerations like putting up a tent on my own with two knackered small kids in tow after a long drive. I am really hoping some kindly soul will help out or we will end up sleeping in the car (yes, I am going to practise putting the tent up in the garden before we go)

From what I've read on the singlewithkids forum everyone helps to put up the tents especially when you've got really young children.

This is the link to forum posts for the camping trips they did last year:

Which trip have you booked?
