Holiday with a teenager

I can afford a cheap holiday in the sun this year. I want to go with my 15 year old ds,it'll probably be our last holiday as he's getting older.
I'm looking for something with activities for him (hopefully windsurfing), where he'll meet other teens
I'm quite happy mooching about by the pool with a good book but wouldn't mind some adult company sometimes.
So, that's my criteria.
Does anyone know if I can find such a thing?

I don't know which ones will have windsurfing, etc. but you can check on the forum about which holidays have been booked by parents of teens. There are some fab testimonies about their Majorca holiday last year and there seemed to be quite a few teenagers on it.

You probably won't find many teenagers on SWK in reality. The hol I went on with them had a 15 year old lad and he was bored senseless.

I know there are many here who plug rave about SWK but I didn't like the shared accomodation aspect of it. Bear that in mind if you do go fo SWK.

You say you can afford cheap. How cheap is cheap?
This company is meant to be good but probably not terribly cheap. Perhaps you can get a last minute offer with them though.

PGL family holidays is good for adventure too. Again not too sure whether you'd get many in his age catagory. Guess you can phone and ask them if they know the ages going.

I googled teenage activity holiday windurfing and it cme up with loads. For example this one -

I think you need to do a bit of reaerch to find something cheap

Have you thought about sending him on a DoIt4Real holiday while you go to the beach somewhere!? ;)

I'm a shameless Menorca fan - I went with DD (16) last year and she had a great time - lots of diving, surfing, etc, plus it's very friendly but not mad partying a la Ibiza - I felt perfectly happy letting her go out in the evenings after she'd met a group of young people and she never let me down. You could get a cheapy self catering apartment?

I'm organising a holiday to France in first week of school summer holidays.... but your son would be the oldest in the group (well at the moment!). There are 12 families going so far children from 5 to 14 - quite allot of 11/12 year olds (the 14 year old is a boy) .... a couple of dads are coming too. It's Northern France but where they do the wind racing on the beach (Nr Le Touquet). Its great value £320 (1+1) HB inc 4 course evening meal and £400 for 1+2 (extra children under 6 are free with 1+1 -so £320 for all 3 where on child is under 6). I had loads of a teens on a holiday I organised to Majorca last year (50 plus mum/dad/children) they are fine aslong as they have company......

Send me a PM if you are interested - there are only 2/3 rooms available now ....

This holiday company is very good - not cheap but not dear
Lots of activities but no pressure to join in
Although you would have to check there were other teenagers booked to go.
When I went the oldest were 13/14
