Just for fun reallyWink and to see if their are any like minded people out there!

Ex left me when I was 6wks pregnant, never took any interest throughout my pregenancy and hasn't in the 7.5yrs since. He changed his home telephone no. and stopped answering his mobile leaving me no way of contacting himAngry

So....when ds was born I sent an announcal of the birth card to his home addressGrin anyone else done anything similar?

I was going to preach on how revenge is not always sweet but I kind of like your announcement move Grin, understated but funny.

I know it's not exactly what you're looking for but I always think the best revenge is to live well and be succesful Smile. it must have been very tough to come through how he treated you, you have my admiration.

JustForThisOne · 15/02/2011 23:52

what's an announcal ?

something gory ?

DioneTheDiabolist · 15/02/2011 23:54

Yes. I got my own house. My son is happy and intelligent. I was/am magnanimous and made sure he did his duty regarding time and money for our son. I enrolled in a college course and am now in second year.

And I didn't take him back and am divorcing the asshole, no matter how hard it got. No matter how hard he begged. I didn't take it out on my son. I didn't take it out on my Ex. And the best bit? He can't handle it. Mwahahahaha.

My revenge? My brilliant life without him. And he knows it. Mwahahahaha.

The best revenge is not to care. Once again: Mwahahahaha.

DioneTheDiabolist · 16/02/2011 00:03

When I told him it was really over (like the fact that he made me and DS homeless, the house had to be sold, he asked his Ex for a bunk up and I knew, but he didn't know), as I told him the radio was on and they played "Who's Sorry Now" and "These Boots Were Made for Walking". I don't think he heard it, but I had to leave the room as I was laughing so hard and God had proved she existed.

Gonzo33 · 16/02/2011 06:31

The best revenge? Having a successful career, owning my own home and giving my dc everything he could wish for without the exh help. Eventually meeting and marrying the man of my dreams (7 years after I left my exh).

Like someone else said, it winds exes up more if you get on with your life and make it a good one!

He hates me!

thumbdabwitch · 16/02/2011 06:44

Not revenge as such - but I took him at his word when he said I could have whatever I needed from our house before he moved his new bint in there. So I took whatever I needed - including the entire stash of wine we had bought in France together (about 50 bottles), 2 brand new carpets (the owners of the house I was buying were taking theirs), the gas double oven (I needed a new one for the new house as the previous one had been condemned) and all of the chandelier light fittings that I had carefully chosen.

He Was Not Happy - phoned me and threatened to sue me for the return of a few items - I laughed at him and said "go ahead, I have at least 2 witnesses who have told me that you told them I could take whatever I needed".

We never spoke again after that. Grin

Niceguy2 · 16/02/2011 08:18

Totally agree with the happy life bit. Revenge just shows you are still emotionally involved and therefore still care.

As I often say, the opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference.

That said, I met a woman once who told me that when she split from her husband he locked her out of the house. So she smashed up his BMW which was his pride and joy whilst he was holed up looking out of the window. Eventually the police arrived but took no action because the car was registered in her name so technically its her car and she's perfectly entitled to smash her own car up!

I Grin at the story but did run a mile....don't need a nutter like that in my life thanks!

boohoohoo · 16/02/2011 08:56

Yes, bought up my daughter by myself, she is now a lovely, kind, intelligent teenager ready to start her own life. I made a successful career, married again to a lovely man, have had another child and am now truly happy. Not revenge really because Im afraid I dont care enough (at all) about him. He made his choice to totally walk (move to the other side of the world) away from probably one of the best things of his life (his daughter obviously, not me!!!)

NewPatchesForOld · 16/02/2011 12:46

When my ex was moving out I took revenge. He had uprooted me and DCs and moved us a long way from home to live with him, which we were happy to do. Unbeknown to me he did it as a way to make his ex jealous...it worked and 16 weeks after we left our old life behind he admitted it all and said he wanted us to move out so he could be with her. I refused and eventually he moved out. He was so petty that he even emptied the food cupboards. After using my ped egg, I was walking past all his stuff and noticed half empty boxes of cereal, including his beloved porridge....I looked at the ped egg full of hard skin shavings...looked at the porridge...what's a girl to do? Grin

thumbdabwitch · 16/02/2011 12:52

Jeez, Newpatches - what your ex did was a high level of bastardy! Hope he choked on his porridge...

I agree though - the best "revenge" is to have a happy successful life and move on to the point where you are utterly indifferent to the ex. But you'd still quite like them to know that you have done that (so not utterly indifferent then...)

StuffingGoldBrass · 16/02/2011 12:54

I don't really approve of revenge on XPs but can't help giggling at the 'ped egg/porridge' interface.

KazBarTheFriendlyGhost · 16/02/2011 13:00

Mustard seeds on damp carpet....Grin

he went on holiday with his other woman, i let myself into his flat to pick up my things, I couldn't resist

Oh the mess, how i laughed

FeelingOld · 16/02/2011 13:03

Again not really revenge but 6 months after my ex left me I had lost 3 stone in weight, had my hair dyed and re-styled, bought some push up bras, got my nails etc done, bought some new trendier clothes and even if i say so myself i looked the best i had in 10 years, his eyes nearly popped out of his head when he saw me (he didnt see me for 4 months so I really looked different).

Now 3 years later i go out a lot more and have a much happier life while he is stuck in with the OW and their baby. My business is busier than ever and I have more money to enjoy life and me and the kids and my new man are very happy :)

NewPatchesForOld · 16/02/2011 13:17

Ah, 'twas just a little bit of smugness really! It did put a smile on my face afterwards though Smile.
I'm much happier now without him, apart from wishing all the karmic justice in the world on him I couldn't care less about him, and that's mainly because of what he did to the kids rather than 'a woman scorned'.

I've embarked on a healthy diet, lost over a stone so far, dropped a dress size, grown long nails, am growing my hair, and have rid myself and the children of almost all negative influences (apart from my mother, so much harder to do). We're genuinely happy. Which I know from the grapevine he's not. Which is indeed the best kind of revenge.

Snorbs · 16/02/2011 13:26

I'm not a revenge kind of person. I wouldn't let myself sink to my ex's level.

Anyway, it's much more fun to just stand back and watch the non-stop car-crash of my ex's life while knowing it's got nothing to do with me.

Anngeree · 16/02/2011 15:10

Some of these posts have made me laugh esp the porridge oneGrin

I agree moving on is the best revenge you can get but sometimes initially getting revenge (although nothing too nasty) is a good way of venting your anger and frustration.

Amieesmum · 18/02/2011 19:11

I've grown out of the revenge thing as i've got older. When i was 16 i fell pregnant with dd, and her dad did a run for the hills. (back to his parents house) So i might have sent copies of my scan pictures addressed to his parents, who he hadn't told about me or the pregnancy. I know it was totally not the best way to go about things, but it got him into so much trouble!

The second thing i did, was to a guy i met while working in the city. He earned a stupid amount of money, and was one of these flash the cash kind of guys, with an array of pretty sports cars to boot. He gave me a car, which was quite expensive, as i used to pick him up from work alot, or from late night adventures, and he was too ashamed to be seen in my car.
One day he was "poorly" so me being the kind, sweet & considerate girlfriend i was, went out and bought him all the comforting things he'd usually request when ill. It was common for me to do, and let myself into his, to find him astride another girl. I immediately left, as i did reversing the car he'd donated me at speed, into two of his sports cars in succession. Leaving him keys and my car & walking away to get on with my life.
Totally stupid thing, and thank god he didn't call the police.
I should add many years later we're actually quite good friends.

JustaNickname · 18/02/2011 21:02

Not revenge as such (although if I had the chance I'd take it!) My ex was never fully committed to me or our son in the 5 years we were together. I fell pregnant when I was 16 and we never lived together so eventually when we split for good after he was violent I decided it would be best for myself and my son to move and have a fresh start. My ex took me to court and the judge ruled I had to stay but I appealed the decision and we had out 2nd court case this week and we are now allowed to move, my ex finally has to pay maintenance and he has to make an effort to see his son. I see this as the best revenge of all :D

mummytowillow · 19/02/2011 21:38

I know someone who painted the INSIDE of his car with white gloss!! Grin

I wouldn't dare do that as its criminal damage, it was at least 10 years ago, but it made her feel so much better!!

After a bad row with my ex about him telling me which of my friends he fancied ( I was only 19 - very insecure )I locked myself in the bathroom and refused to come out. He then threw all of my clothes out of the bedroom window and locked me out when I went to pick them up. I got a taxi home to my parent's and he came round an hour later to patch things up. I went back with him that night only to be reminded that I had better not be such a "silly girl" again.

I put up with for a couple of weeks until he had a stag weekend to go on. I kissed him goodbye, took the day off work and raised the hems on all five of his decent work suit trousers by about an inch and a half. I have always loved needlework and knew that my attention to detail would come in handy one day. I packed up and left that day, leaving a note. He returned home, begged me to come back, never mentioned the trousers.... I still chuckle when I think of him wearing them to work. I didn't go back, and no, the current Mr Littleover doesn't know about this.

EnSuiteShed · 19/02/2011 22:29

Unpicking the bum seam on all his trousers

Cutting all the buttons off all shirts

Prawns sewn into the curtains

This was my mum - not me Grin

pickgo · 20/02/2011 00:25

I put sugar in an x's petrol tank once (pre locking fuel caps days). Was out on a driving lesson and saw him broken down on roadside. Ohh revenge was sweet in more ways than one! Meehahahaw!

Loobyloo1902 · 20/02/2011 17:28

Ooh I like this thread...

When pregnant, I worked in a small office and was being bullied by another female colleague. My best revenge was to simply persist and to do my job properly and professionally as she insisted on turning the central heating up to max when I was already boiling hot and trying to put my maternity appointments down as annual leave.

But that didn't stop me from stealing important pieces of paper from her desk and shredding them.

The day I left was great as I knew she would be stuck in her crappy job with her crappy attitude whilst I was going to enjoy life with my beautiful new DC.

makemineapinot · 20/02/2011 19:42

oooh - the best revenge I've had on my ex husband was to be happy, get on with my life with my dc and let him realise that the OW was actualy a psycho bitch from hell and that he was stuck with her Grin What goes around comes around and all that!!

Years ago when i worked overseas I was seeing a South African guy who truned out to be a major lying cheating B***d who stole money from me and a whole host of other things. Got his clothes, puopped them in a black bin bag, emptied 2 tins of tuna into the bags and left them out in the Greek sun all day. Photocopied his passport, visa etc, gave copies to his Greek boss (who I founbd out he'd also stolen money off and done other things to) and my mate who worked in immigration. Last heard of in trouble at Athens airport Smile. His punishment/embrassment/whatever were deserving after the crimes(which i have not gone into here) he'd committed against me and good Greek islanders. hah!
