Talked about this with solicitor but didn't prove necessary in the end, just the letter (£100) threatening it did the trick!
To get this under legal aid I think your evidence of the need for it would need to be watertight.
I think the only way you'd be sure would be to discuss your case with a solicitor. Most do first half hour consultation free.
Good luck. Sleep well.

ive just been to court on three occasions to try and obtain one of these. i laready have a restraining order in place because of DV, but he has now started hastling me again, so went to court without him being there...got it under emergancy legal aid. judge wanted him present, so back we went...he didnt turn up so we had to go back again a week later and he was still a no show. process server wrote statement to say she had served papers on both occasions, but he had said he wouldnt be showing. he is wanted for other things and the police cant locate him to arrest him, or caution him regarding breech of restrining order.
i was told i couldnt have one because restraining oreder in place and packs more punch so to speak. b
but as to what it is
gives places and locations s/he cant go
cant be within certain distance of your home, cant contact you by any means or get anyone else to do so, tries to stop you being harrased...
my advise would be if your trying to get one get a good barister as they seem to deal wih it better than the solicitor!

can I get a barrister under legal aid?

Going to see a solicitor at Women's Aid but other solicitor told me I had no evidence and I don't know where ex lives.
Do you think I could get any 'order' as I don't have proof any witnesses to him near house and school.
