Hello

Ex earns 70k++. Pays via a limited company so draws a meagre salary ( all done via accountant who provides payslips to him) #

All was quite amicable, then he flipped and constantly moaned about how much he was paying in maintneance to me etc, I said let s get CSA to deal with this as I cannot be accused of taking him for a 'ride' etc each month.

So - he has provided CSA with payslips and they have assesed he is to pay me £10 per month. I have asked for a full investigation. He has also instructed high profile lawyers. £300per hour. And had just bought a new BMW sports car. Where is the justice?

I plan to fight it all the way. feeling disgusted with him for our dd's sake. Im thinking at mediation' so ... how is it exactly you can pay for your lawyer from 'x' firm, at £300p/h , when you have declared to the CSA you are earing £120p/w. explain please...

Anyone ever appealed to the CSA? results?

thanks!

I'm interested in this too. Ds has a £400,000 mortgage pays £14,000 school fees for his dd from first marriage. Self employed and pays £50 a month for ds .

When I spoke to the CSA they said that I would have to have sufficient information about his salary to interest the Inland Revenue enough to launch an investigation. I assume that would be for tax fraud but of course a clever accountant can do legitimate things to hide income for self employed people and therefore the IR wouldn't be interested.

I have appealed on lifestyle grounds and won both times, well both times a week before we were due in court he withdrew. Both times it took around a year though. It may of course be that he is a barrister and his legal reputation to protect.....or he didn't want me to see his bank accounts, current accounts etc etc etc all this stuff he would have had to provide to the courts and me.

unbeleviable.ummm - over 1k per month for one child and £50pd for another??

do you htink that the fact he has been paying me £600per month for last year (in writing) accounts for something. IE - how TF do you pay that on £120 per week??!!

Also have email stating he doens not want to 'take away what he is paying to me etc'...

fantastic - saw this on the CSA site - lifestyle grounds. Yes, membership to soho house, regular holidays to exotic loactions, the BMW all dont really fall in to that of £120p/w salary do they...

CarGirl - does the CSA/Court have power to full disclosure of his bank accounts?

When you're on the 3rd round of appeals you go to court and that is what a self employed person has to provide to the courts. It's all done through the departures department at the CSA.
