Tube and Elizabeth line with 6 yo

Hello,

I just wanted to clarify from those in the know if visiting children (non London resident) can get free tube and Elizabeth line if travelling with a paying adult?
I was just checking as the contactless fares seem to be much less than the ticket fares (we have a family railcard if that helps) but my 6 yo obviously does not have a bank card so not sure how I would pay for them otherwise (too late for an Oyster Zip).
Arriving in Heathrow to Zone 1 station (on Elizabeth Line)

Thank you.

You go to the wide access barriers and keep your child very close to you as you tap in. Most of the wide access barriers will be staffed.

Hello, Yes you just take them through with you and you tap your card. All the tubes have accessible turnstiles that are bigger and slower to allow wheelchairs etc through - use these and you will be fine.

Thank you so much, will also have buggy for sibling so will need wide access anyway. Wasn’t sure how to pay for older one, but great to know it’s definitely free.

Age 10 and under are free

Yep, use the wide barrier - nearly all stations have one.
Tap in, let the barrier open and you all go through as one group.

Is it free under 10? Bollocks! I've been buying my 7yo a paper travel card whenever we go to London for the last few years. Won't do that again.
