Strikes next week

Good morning, myself and my OH are staying in Northolt next week, Wednesday to Saturday and have a few things planned and booked in central London(have been for months).
We have just seen there are strikes planned, without getting into the rights and wrongs of that what would people's advice be on getting around.
User? Busses? Obviously we don't know London well at all and are a tad worried our trip will be ruined

Buses will be running, but will be very busy during peak hours.
Mainline trains and the overground will also be running.

Depends what you are doing but the main sites in London are often quite close to each other and easily walkable.

the TfL strikes typically get called off last minute so that’s what I’m banking on… if not, buses will be your best bet.

Thanks for the replies so far, we arrive Wednesday lunchtime and in the afternoon were going to do the touristy stuff. Big Ben, Trafalgar Square Buckingham Palace etc. Thursday we have a tour of Shakespeare's Globe and Horizon 22 booked.

Check the TFL website
I’m pretty sure the strikes finish on Thursday so if they do go ahead it won’t be for the whole time you’re in london

Get the normal overground train from Northolt Park station into Marylebone (trains only once per hour though) - plenty of bus routes from there / Baker St just round the corner to get you to Trafalgar Sq etc

You can use your contactless card on the train and the buses.

Those sites are easily walkable if you can get into a nearby London station. Ask ChatGPT to design you an easy walking route taking in all the sites you want to see.

My experience of full tube strikes are that in morning and evening rush hour, it can be impossible to board a bus - they are so full that drivers will not even stop unless a passenger is getting off, but then they often don't allow more passengers to get on (or there are so many people in the queue in front that you'll have no chance of getting on). If you're boarding at the first few stops in the route you might get on, but within about 4 stops it will be too full. If you have suitcases it might be hard to fit squeeze on.

Between about 10am - 4.30pm and after 6.30pm buses/overground are usually OK. If you can time your trips to avoid rush hour, and just walk within the centre, you'll be OK.

I've found it hard to get Ubers and other taxis in a strike, they either don't accept the trip, they are all busy or charge surge pricing.

Thank you for the replies, we have changed our plans a tad now. We're doing the touristy stuff Friday when I believe the strike is ended so Thursday is the only real day the strikes should affect us.
Will take everyone's advice on board and make the best of it

Well we came home yesterday and wow. I saw some early reports of chaos and overcrowded busses not stopping etc so I booked a parking space at The National Theatre for Thursday morning as it was a short walk to The Globe and decided to drive and put up with it.
Jeez it was awful, we left Northolt at 8:40 and Google maps said we would have a 1 hour 25 minute trip, it actually took over 2 and a half hours. We missed our booking at The Globe but thankfully they got us on a later one (the place is stunning I have to say)
We cancelled the Horizon 22 one, I just couldn't face another drive back like that so we went back to the Travelodge early which still was another hour and a half
Friday was a great day, we did and saw all the things she wanted to and after a nice easy tube ride and 28000 steps I'm so glad it was all worthwhile.
Again thank for anyone who commented and gave advice
