Hi, I'm a mum for a 3 year old. What museums can I take him to in London? I'm in east London and he goes to nursery 5 days a week. So something that can be enjoyed on weekends.

Don't mind driving. I've never taken him in tube. I'd ideally like to drive him to the place.

Thanks

I agree that the London Transport Museum
Is a great day out. My daughter loved the Geffrye Museum in Kingsland Road which I think has been renamed now. If you don't mind driving you could consider the Horniman Museum in Forest Hill, especially once the weather improves. It's really child friendly, has an aquarium, little butterfly house, lovely gardens, and a life size walrus. We live very close by and used to visit at least twice a week when my daughter was little.

Second many of these places- transport museum, docklands, army museum, science museum.

I would add its worth checking in your local area too, there are lots of small free local museums around and they usually have things for kids to touch/ play with/ explore in the exhibits without making a big day of it. We have a lovely one here in Enfield.
