Girls Day Out

Ok, so the word girls is used very loosely here!

Friends and I, all mid 30s, are going on a very rare, child and husband free day out to London in March to see Six The Musical.

Arrive and leave from Paddington Station. We have about 6 hours to kill before the show and maybe 2 hours after the show.

Any ideas on things we can do? And also restaurant recommendations? Not looking for Michelin star or anything like that.

I've tried to find Tudor themed things, but apart from The Tower of London, haven't been able to find anything. Another initial idea was the Vagina Museum, but think it might be a bit far away?

We've all been to London before and done all the classic tourist stuff.
Looking for something a bit off the beaten track that wouldn't interest the kids. None of us are big drinkers either, so wouldn't want to do a bottomless brunch/gin tasting or anything like that.

Thanks!

All of the city is 'Tudor' so you could do a walking tour of that? See how people lived in cheapside etc.

Otherwise Hampton Court Palace is the obvious one!

And not far from vagina museum in Bethnal Green! There's also Viktor Wynds museum in Bethnal Freen which is definitely NOT child friendly

There is an exhibition "Holbein at the Tudor Court" on at Buckingham palace which looks really good. Or you could go and see the Tudor portraits at the National Portrait Gallery which is free. Pop over Trafalgar square to the National Gallery if you still have time.

There's lots of treasure hunt and out door escape room activities. They are a really fun way to see different parts of the city and there will be a Tudor theme one I imagine

Recently went to London for a day out with my Mum and 20 yr old daughter and ate at Ave Mario in Covent Garden, lovely decor, really really good food and not too expensive!
