West Kensington area - safety

Hi everyone, I am looking to move to West Kensington, just north of Clem Attlee Court.

Can anyone advise of safety in that area and the noise from planes flying in and out of Heathrow?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Are you still looking? Do you have kids? It is not unsafe. I feel fine walking there. There are shops that open til late. You do have some yobs hanging around all day. Quite a few council estates.

It doesn't have a great vibe but pretty typical London

Thank you for your replies! I am still looking but still unsure of the area. I do have dogs (chow chows) which tend to attract attention and I would need to walk them alone from time to time in the evenings.

What is your criteria?
Ealing is much more dog friendly and cheaper than West Kensington. Worth visiting if you haven't been. The cafes are dog friendly too.
In one BBC podcast, shappi khorsandi walked her dogs in Ealing with the presenter.
Some parts of Acton is nice too.
I wouldn't say this side of west Kensington is dog friendly. North Kensington is not that dog friendly either.

If you go further towards Chelsea, Marylebone, Malda Vale, Paddington and St John's Wood area, they are more dog friendly and feels safer.

I am familiar with Ealing but I would like to be closer to London and walkable distance to shopping and cafes. Also in an area that isn’t too busy and where there is abit more space to walk on the pavements. I have looked at Chelsea but mainly the prices are too high. I can consider west of Chelsea, near Worlds End. Would you say it is safer than West Kensington?

I will take a look at the other areas you have mentioned. I only know Marylebone but not visited any of the other areas.

I don't think there's that much difference in safety terms

You get plane noise all over W London, but not every day. They switch the air corridors around, so that it's not the same people getting the noise every day (and have to switch sometimes because of wind).

Which parts of London do you want within easy reach? There are shops and cafes everywhere!!
