Child friendly places/activities near Spitafields

We'll be travelling in on Saturday to go to a specific restaurant in Spitafields that a visiting friend wants to go to.

DS, 3yo, will be with us so would like something to do in the general area that's more for him / that he'll enjoy, rather than just wandering around the shops.

So far I've thought walking over to Tower of London. Maybe not going in, but can run around the parks nearby.

Any other ideas?

There’s a very little city farm - Spitalfields City Farm - behind brick lane.

How much time do you need to fill? How often do you go to London? Mine are happy with a trip on the bus, waving at themselves on the CCTV.

But you also have the postal museum which isn’t too far away and has a good toddler play area and railway.

Thank you @Beggingforsleep !

We don't go in very often, as it's a bit more than an hr in from where we are in Essex.

Even an hour or two would be good, just so we're not dragging him into London for a meal (he'll eat, but not particularly care about). You're right that a bus ride might be a good fill though!

Spitalfields City Farm? Or (the tiny - and no ball games allowed - but very nice) Elder Gardens between Spitalfields Market and Folgate Street?

I think there's also a playground closer to Brick Lane - Chicksand? Something like that, anyway.

The Tower is a brisk 20 min walk from Spitalfields and probably longer for three year old legs. The surrounding plaza is also pretty crowded.

Spitalfields City Farm and also, just spot the street art. There are loads of giant murals everywhere near Brick Lane but also some tiny sculptures on lamp posts and letter boxes, and all the street signs have been doodled on.

There's the Museum Of Childhood in Bethnal Green. One stop away on the tube.
