Hi

Do you have any suggestions for things to do in London, just me and the baby.

I've been to classes and they're ok but sometimes its nice to just go places me and her - and am running out of ideas...

anywhere that's easy to get to on the tube (preferably a station with lifts or step free access but not essential) and just nice and interesting for us both while i'm off work.

I say interesting for her - shes 5 months old, and not bothered I'm sure! Just something appropriate and nice for us if possible?

Thanks in advance!

Art galleries, museums, parks, daytime concerts... basically anything that's not age restricted and/or at night/during whenever it is she sleeps.

London is very child friendly.

Which part of London are you in? National maritime museum in Greenwich is good for kids if you can get there, much quieter than the central London ones

Waterloo has lifts and is easy to get around, and Southbank is a great (if busy!) place to stroll if not people-watch! And the Tate Modern is a short walk away too.

Do you use sling or pushchair?

And what do you like doing?

Because at the small and portable age, it might be nice to do the things you like, with her tagging along, so maybe wandering round galleries etc. And whilst you dinthat, you can thinknahead and spot the ones which have decent activities for toddlers.

Also see if your local cinema does 'The Big Scream' (or similar) which are cheap daytime showings - films can be anything, but you can only go with an infant under 1 in tow. IME, babies like Bollywood! It can be a bit loud, so take cotton wool, as wisps can protect ears.

Kew Gardens! Great for a relaxing day looking at flowers.. Best to go during the week though when it's less busy. Also definitely have cake when you're there (it's the rule).

I really like the science museum (only in term time when it's not too busy).
I also think the aquarium is beautiful but without a voucher the tickets are expensive.
Recently I've got a bit bored of all the same museums and parks. Someone recommended Kidadl to me - which has been great.
It is a weekly email that recommends all things for kids of do over London - many of them free. They give loads of tips about baby changing etc. I've found it really useful.

Please share on here any thing great you do as I'm always looking for new places!
