Transport museum in Covent Garden is interesting and not pricey.

DH and DS also went to a 'Bond in Motion' display nearby which was apparently very good.

I was disappointed in the Science museum, much of the interactive stuff didn't work and you had to pay extra for some of the exhibitions.

Can you tell we are just back from a trip??

Harrods ice cream bar or pizza bar with singing waiters.

The Army Museum in Chelsea is nice , they have refurbished it since I last went so probably looks even better

I agree with PPs who said London Transport Museum , its reasonably priced for what it is . Very good.

It's only open until May and my DD absolutely loved it. Free and relatively unknown - you can easily spend an hour/hour and a half here.

The iris istallation in North Greenwich and the museum of childhood Bethnal green. We also went to the crystal museum on the north side of the Emiretes cable car.

Enid, is this a surgical Museum? How old is your dd? I can imagine ds would love anything like this.

HMS Belfast, yes, we didn't get to do this last time so this might be a potential, thank you.

enid I've never heard of the Hunterian before. Looks like it will reopen in 2020 so I'll make a mental note to visit then.

DS (9 at the time) enjoyed Ripleys. We also did the dungeons which I thought might be too scary for him, but he really enjoyed it, despite having a bad stomach bug that day

Stillwish, the crystal Museum, ds is an avid rock collector, is this one for kids? He loved the rock section of the natural history museum.

Never heard of the Iris Installation either, going to check this out too.

These are some things my dd1 has liked but is a bit younger. We go in quite regularly but we enjoy just being in London. Then we find a nice pub for a drink or two

Think we might have to venture over to Harrods, I've never been either. Will I need a second mortgage though? Anything worth buying in there?

Science Museum is amazing I think. The Learning Lab on top floor totally hands on.

Four, we loved it last year! Walked our legs off. Struggled getting served in a couple of pubs because of having ds with us, can't remember where exactly, think Kensington, it was after 6pm. Found that a bit frustrating.
