Homelearning until kids are vaccinated

My kid's school is vaccinating between 18-20 Oct, but loads of kids are off with COVID and it's ripping through the school. I am really worried that my kids may catch COVID in the next few days which will mean they won't be allowed to be vaccinated (you have to wait 4 weeks after) and will miss this window. As the school are doing hybrid lessons anyway (mixed online and in-person teaching) as so many kids are off, would I legally be allowed to keep my kids at home to do home learning until they've been vaccinated to minimise their chances of catching it in the next few days?

Please only reply about this specific topic only. I do not want to hear about the rights or wrongs of vaccinating, thanks!

I think it would be unauthorised absence.

There is also the issue of what if they dont get through vaccinating everyone? We were initially primed for 1 day. Then they put in a further 2 days the following week. DS1 still hasn't been vaccinated, so they are coming back at another time. So, what would you do if you keep them off, then the vaccination doesn't happen for some reason?

Thanks @InTheLabyrinth. School have already set aside three days, so I think they'll get through them. I think I will apply for authorised absence. Good idea!
