Structured day routine

Hi all.

I'm a single mum to a just turned 2yo

Previously we got out EVERY SINGLE DAY. Whether walks to the park. Visiting family. Play groups etc. Well I have to stay home now because of lowered immune system and to be honest I don't really want to go out because I'm too bloody scared.

I've stayed home since Friday and I'm already feeling really really awful. I've had terrible PND and only just began to get back to myself the last 6-8 months. One of my coping strategies was getting fresh air every day and doing something like a walk or activity with DD.

Now we're not far from lockdown I want to try and get a structured day for DD and I so I don't fall down a rabbit hole of just never wearing clothes pjs only that type of thing. Eg up at 6, breakfast done and cleared by 7:30.

Thing is I'm completely stuck after that

If anyone has any ideas or wants to share their structured day at home with their toddlers please do

I'm in a very similar situation so also looking for advice! Sorry I can't help much as we are so used to getting out.

You can still go for a walk, just keep your distance from other people.

So how about
7.30 - 8.00 - Complete some chores, give your 2 year old things to help/play with (putting washing in the machine, playing with pots and pans)
8.00 - 8.30 - Play in the garden if you have access to outside space (if not perhaps indoor exercise, YouTube dancing etc.)
8.30 - 9.00 - Play with toys
9.00 - 10.30 - Build a den/read stories inside. Playdough, lego, pretend play.
10.30 - Snack
10.45 - 11.15 - Water play inside/outside (use a large saucepan or bowl and some cups/spoons/cloths etc.)
11.15 - 12.00 - TV time
12.00 - Lunchtime
12.30 - 1.00 - Outside time/indoor exercise
1.00 - Nap/quiet time
2.30 - 3.15 - Help with chores
3.15 - 4.00 - Play with toys
4.00 - 5.00 - TV time
5.00 - Dinner time
6.00 - Upstairs for long bath time!

I’m sure you can go for walks - indeed it’s beneficial to be outdoors and get some vitamin D.
There are lots of home ed types on Instagram and I always liked Imagination Tree for play ideas. I had a high energy toddler so I sympathise

@SheldonSaysSo1 that’s great!

Also a local toddler group is doing live online sessions so have a look on Facebook for anything like that!

Its so tricky to think of what to do with them all day. Have a google too as there are tonnes of ideas. Its often more the adult that needs the routine to get through the day!
