Please can people share their ideas for activities with a toddler at home. We have no garden and tend to get out a lot in ordinary times but we're social distancing due to high risk family members and pregnancy.
We're already have WAY too much screen time and it's making me sad that we might spend so much of the summer stuck inside our flat.

Build elaborate forts.
Flashlight exploring.
Obstacle course.
Hide and go seek.
Daily baths.
Dance party.
Balloons.
Laundry toss (Stand 5 feet away and toss laundry for them to put into the machine. Shout out silly things "watch out for the snake socks!". Do the reverse when it's clean.)
Skype with family/friends.
Rotate toys, so every day they get something new.

If not in self isolation, will we still be ok to go for walks in rural areas and woodland etc?

I can't see any reason why not. Or parks so long as not crowded.

One thing to bear in mind that adequate levels of vitamin D may be important for your immune system (and also in pregnancy) so getting outside in daylight is a good idea. If you're really having to be holed up indoors then consider a supplement - 10 micrograms for adults (not higher doses), whatever is recommended for kids.
