London: pooling resources in order to home educate

I am the single, working parent of a nine year old girl, living in Camden. I have long wanted to home ed but my only income is from my job.

So, I have found a fantastic private tutor, who is really enthusiastic about teaching 2-4 children in my/our home(s).

Imagine:

(1) a class of 2-4 children;

(2) taught by an inspirational, energetic yet patient tutor (who has spent the past 8 years teaching at primary school & privately tutoring for the 11+, Common Entrance examinations etc. ? particularly in maths and science);

(3) educated together in a Camden house with an enormous library of books, 4 laptops, wireless network & colour printer, huge sunny roof terrace, shady garden with fruit & vegetables, pond with fish & frogs,10? trampoline and so much else;

(4) where children can (if wanted!) help grow and cook their own healthy food;

(5) with 'term' dates & hours to suit parents;

(6) meeting up with other children to play, swim, skate, cook, do science experiments, have communal classes etc. for several hours every day;

(7) taking advantage of everything that London offers;

(8) starting in September 2010;

(9) for £6,000 per year (if 4 children), £8,000 per year (if 3 children) or £12,000 per year (if 2 children).

If you would like to find out more, please email me at [email protected]. If you're not interested, but know other parents who might be, please pass this information on to them. Thanks!

I'm completely flumoxed by this

Is it childcare?
Is it a school?
Is it like a nanny share?
