Kids clothes at Carboot Sales

Hi!
I've got a load of kids clothes that I want to sell, and don't want to wait until the October NCT sale.
Ebay is so much hassle and non-labels don't sell well.
Soooo, I was thinking about a carboot sale.
Have you sold clothes at a carboot sale and did they sell well?
Which one would you recommend doing?
What would you pay / charge per item? £1 ? (Stuff mainly from Next or supermarkets).
Thanks for any suggestions!!!

  • 20p/item, or three for 50p for preschool age items (half that or less for most baby items)

  • 50p/item (3 for £1) for older kids --

  • except trousers in good nick, school dresses and even toddler coats (might go for £1 each) and

  • good quality coats for school age kids might be more again (£2-£4 each).

I bought some great clothes from a car boot sale last week, although they were all Mini Boden, Zara and Fat Face. As long as your clothes are in good condition and presented well (I saw clothes airers with clothes on hangers, clothes rails or just divided into ages and in bags to rummage through).

I've never sold at one (and haven't been to any in your area) but for outfits I would charge up to £2, £1 for trousers or 50p for t-shirts. Be prepared for hagglers though!

I also picked up a great play kitchen for my DD and DS.

Good luck!

Have you heard of Choices near Ipswich. You can take your old clothes there and they sell them on for you. You then get some if the money back.

Thanks everyone.
Tested out the shopping-side for clothes at a carboot the other day - couple of next tunic tops for 50p each. Bargain!!
