Cat looking for good home.

My nearly three year old slinky tabby cat is not happy living here.

She's being badly bullied by her sister, she's nervous about the new Tom who has moved in across the road, she's fed up because we've moved the house around and her favourite hide out is no longer and she would just really rather live without three young boys in the house.

She wants to live where someone will stroke her and will let her sit on their knee. She seems to be fine with children as long as they are girls of the calmer variety.

She likes to go outside now and again, but doesn't venture far. She needs a garden though at the moment she spends most of her time indoors (because of the Tom).

She has been neutered, is up to date with all her flea and worm prevention treatment.

Do you know of a house which might suit her?

Hi Spidermama,

In case it helps:

We decided to re-home our cats earlier this year (after much sad deliberation). We found Battersea cats home in Windsor to be the best charity we contacted. They were extremely helpful and sympathetic - did not judge our decision and they make a commitment not to put cats down.

If you don't have any luck with this posting, I would highly recommend them.

good luck.

Thanks Lions. I've taken photos today and will put them in Gumtree. It's an agonising decision but she really is not happy here.

Hi Spidermama, I put an ad on Gumtree recently to get my cat re-homed and within a week she had gone to live with a lovely new couple in Hove. It all worked out perfectly, they even email me photos of her enjoying her new home. Good luck!

What a great outcome. I really hope I get that sort of result. DD and I are a bit wobbly tonight having put up a poster at our local vet. We know it's the right thing to do though.

I really, really would like to have her, but DH won't let us have another one. We've already got an eleven year old female tortie. If I could twist his arm I would, but we only managed to get this one as my neighbour emigrated last year to Australia and we inherited her.

Good luck in finding her another home
