Does anyone have their babies / toddlers in Bramleys Pippins nursery in headington or know someone who does? Any thoughts good bad or indifferent. My 15 month old currently goes to another nursery but I am considering a switch for location reasons. Am particularly interested if you know of / have any thoughts on the baby room there (6 months to about 14 months old) even tho my daughter would probably be too old for that room I am expecting my second baby shortly

thanks

Hi, my DS has recently started at Pippins in the baby room. The staff are friendly and caring and he seems to love going. It wasn't my first choice as the room is quite small and they don't have alot of outdoor space.

However, it is very convenient and flexible with extra sessions which suits me, as I work irregular hours. They seem to take the kids out for plenty of walks and have some new play equipment.

The other nursery I looked at was Sandfield on the JR site which has wonderful indoor and outdoor space, but it has a long waiting list for babies, little flexibility in sessions, and they have to go at least 3 sessions a week.

Hi, both my DC go to Pippins. I would say it is OK but not great. The baby room is alright but my DS was never that happy there. He seems better in the toddler room (age 2+) and the pre-school room is the best IMO.

There are some good staff although most are very young. They seem to do a good variety of activities. However, I never feel that any staff member has a real interest in my DC - they don't know much about them or seem to feel any affection for them (or others). Also the food provided is, in my view, of a pretty low standard and not very healthy.

So I wouldn;t recommend it as such, but I wouldn't say it is a terrible nursery - and indeed it is much better than a few I saw (e.g. Turbo Ted's near the station). I am taking the DC out of there soon actually as I have found a lovely childminder so that probaly says something!
