Any suggestions where to take a few 2yr olds for food near Sealife Centre?

Hello,

DD2 is 2 in couple of weeks and we're planning to take her to Sealife Centre on the Sat following but want to go somewhere else to eat afterwards - anyone have any suggestions? There'll be 2/3x2yr olds and 2x3yr olds plus a few adults.

I haven't been anywhere near town for yonks so am struggling to think of anywhere - main reason we want to go somewhere other that SC is that other adults will prob join us there. Also need to bear in mind that the kids will be hungry so needs to be short walk away and they are likely to be a tad excited.

Any suggestions gratefully received

there is a Harry Ramsdens fish'n'chip restaurant just across the roundabout from the end of the pier; or several decent Italian places that are OK for children, if you go across the Old Stein to Pavilion Gardens area

eg al duomo

The Harvester is above the Sealife centre as well and my kids always love a salad bar

there's also zizzi's and lots of other chains in that area. for something a bit different we ate in food for friends last weekend with our nearly 2yo DS and he loved it even though it's vegetarian! you'd probably need to phone and book any of those places though given the number of small ones, if only so you could get a table big enough and ensure they had the right number of booster chairs etc.

How about Giraffe or Wagamama on North Road, it is a little bit of a walk but both v kid friendly and both likely to have space?

Thank you ladies! Like the Harry Ramsden and Harvester suggestions - that'll keep grand & great-grandparents happy!

Great to have your other town-centre, child-friendly suggestions to keep in mind for now & future.

Thank you!

Don't bother with the Harry Ramsdens, it is truly dire.

Large Burger King right next door, though I realise that just the thought of it makes some folks faint with horror, (not me, I don't care). A traditional chippy further down the seafront road (heading away from the pier). The Terraces restaurant also next door - not sure what it's like. St James St which runs parallel to the seafront going inland, has cheap Indian, various fast food and lots of other restaurants.

We all like the fish and chip restaurant on the Pier. We've done the Sealife Centre and lunch on the Pier several times now for early birthdays - just don't take them through the amusement arcade on the Pier but around it.
