Mrs McCombe is the Head Teacher.
She is nice.

But you don't want to get on her bad side!!!

(from CHildren here: nice but really strict!!!)

just in case i should run into her...

so this is where all the gaelic mums hang out

i have a dd in p2 (and if u are who i think you are weegiemum our dd's are in the same class) and a son in the nursery and i live in the area (practically opposite the school) and i've actually watched the traffic wardens and the do wait for the droppping off /collecting from school times when they do their rounds- they also come back about 20 mins before the charges stop (6pm i think) to see if they can catch anyone out. i think there are parent meetings on at the nursery this week, don't know if this will be addressed though

i speak little gaelic, what i've picked up from classes, but if you can get to the classes that are put on for free then i would recommend them, there is one on today at the mitchell library especially for parents of kids in the nursery, and the classes that were just for p1s that mags (campbell) used to do a thursday were really good aswell, and i think theres a class starting for p 2 parents aswell.

oh poo, dd was off nursery the whole of last week so i may have missed stuff. what's the deal with the class today, do you know?

kirmcc · 21/09/2009 09:49

not really no, ds is at nursery then so i might pop in and see what its like.

AitchTwoToTangOh · 21/09/2009 10:01

kirmcc · 21/09/2009 10:02

yeah he started about 3 weeks ago, i think the class is 1.15 somewhere in the mitchell

AitchTwoToTangOh · 21/09/2009 10:05

righto, i might see you there. i'll have a baby in tow, though, so we'll see how much they like that...

kirmcc · 21/09/2009 10:07

it said its ok to bring babies and toddlers along- one of the other mums who went last week said alot of parents there had wee ones with them

kirmcc · 21/09/2009 13:00

don't know if you'll get this before you go, but i just found out from one of the other mums that the class isn't on today, they couldn't get the room, so they are holding a gaelic bounce and rhyme today.

kirmcc - hi there, haven't looked at this thread for a bit!

I didn't know there was a mnetter with anyone in same class as my dd - Mrs Darroch? My dd2 is the girl who uses a wheelchair, so most kids know her pretty well!!

AitchTwoToTangOh · 21/09/2009 16:43

yep, they said that at the nursery. but in the event they did hold the class. mostly baffling, i can report.

kirmcc · 21/09/2009 23:35
