quick question about Richmond train station - is it buggy friendly?

I am taking ds2 into Central London tomorrow for a medical appt, and will have ds3 in the buggy. So I entered 'no stairs' into the TfL journey planner site. It suggested I catch a bus to Richmond and then the District line to Westminster and then a bus again. But I seem to remember lugging a buggy up and down the stairs last time I went to Richmond. Has this changed? Are there lifts or is there a ramp?

thanks in advance for your help

Their is a lift, albeit an ancient one. You used to have to ask one of the attendants to let you use it as its a bit out of sight. That said the station itself has few steps to the tube and maybe a kind stranger can help you ?? Good luck !!

thanks for the answer. One of the attendants helped us down in the lift. It made a difference. I ended up having to come back from Marble Arch station and no one offered to help us down the stairs and I was too busy keeping an eye on ds2 to accost anyone and ask them. People can be so selfish in Central London. [grumble grumble].

there is a wheelchair/buggy friednly back entrance to Richmond tube station. COming from Richmond town centre with station on your right go past main entrance and turn first right into car park in far right hand corner of the station there is an entrance which is buggy friendly to the underground platforms.

No need for stairs or lift.
