Easter holidays - fun and FREE activities?

What are you planning to do with your schoolies over the Easter holidays? I need to find lots of fun but cheap/free things to keep my three horrors occupied and so far I'm not coming up with much other than to go visit Calderglen park!

Transport museum, art galleries

Taking DS to the Doctor Who exhibition at the art gallery. Don't know if there is a fee though. Will need to check that out.

Just checked it out. Family fee £18 for the Dr Who exhibition.

That's actually not too bad. We were at Kelvingrove the weekend before last for a couple of hours and only managed to look at the ground floor. I was quite disappointed with how many of the kids' bits and pieces were broken though - is it always like that?

Ali - My kids love the Transport Museum but DS2 has a habit of running away in excitement to look at everything so I'll probably avoid there until it's a little less busy.

We always make a point of going to see the Easter animals in Queens Park and I've heard there's a mini zoo in Tollcross park too? Might check that out.

Bit late now but for the future... Rookenglen (sp?) do pottery painting during the holidays, not v v exp and nice if it's too hot for the full day in park.

Theres a duck pond and plenty of places to sit with a picnic.

If it's really nice the park is usually quite busy though, sometimes with bouncy castles and tea cup type fairground things.

We had a lovely day at the Botanic Gardens.
