Hi all - can anyone recommend a fab party entertainer for my soon to be 4 year old girl (Hampton/Teddington/Twickenham area)? She is very girlie but there will be lots of boys attending too so I need someone to cater for both! Thanks....

hi Pammyjo - i have been recommended Smartie Artie for my DD1's 5th birthday. Party is next sunday. Will let you know how we get on with him.

Perform also came highly recommended and do themes like Charlie & the chocolate factory which would be good for both boys & girls.

i had DD2's 3rd birthday party at Little Fishes in Teddington - soft play at st francis de sales church hall. if you have mostly little ones it was brilliant and very good value. i think they said they have a princess backdrop for decoration if you wanted it.

Also went to a party with entertainer miss jamjar (hampton party) - she was good.

Thanks Amidaiwish - I used to go to Little Fishes when it was just the Church Group - I heard that some mums were running it now - anyone got a contact number for them? I contacted Lisa the Disco Diva who looks great but £220 plus cost of hall/bags/food is a bit eye watering with no-one to share so a more purse friendly option sounds ideal!

Will also look up your other tips....look forward to hearing how the party goes next week - good luck!

Brilliant! Thanks Amidaiwish....I've called already (clearly not very busy at work today !). Sounds really good value for money - only query is do you think it would be OK for a four year old (as she is young in her year, we will have lots of 'almost' 5's coming from her nursery)? Half of me thinks - well all they really want to do is run around and climb over/on things at that age - the other half is thinking hmmm should I go for something a bit more sophisticated...? Possibly I am thinking a bit too much about all of this!

i am not sure - the bouncy castle will be fine but the ball pool and the other soft bits is for younger. why don't you pop down there one morning if you can as they run the soft play tues/weds/thursday mornings i think.

however thinking about it DD1 was 4.5 at DD2's 3rd birthday and she enjoyed the bouncy castle, ball pool etc. plus we ran some party games (the big soft mats are perfect) so it should be fine but you may have to "do" some things not just let them run riot.

alternatively whitton school hire their hall with a massive bouncy castle, bouncy slide, bigger soft play stuff which may be more suitable for older and still good value i think (vs little gym etc...)
