Thanks ladies. i have been having serious bouts of insomnia, finding myself up at 4am! Bonkers!

made myself have a afternoon nap today, and feel great for it.

Hope you all had lovely Christmases, and looking forwards to finally meeting up with you and your LO's soon!

Great to hear that you are OK. Hope all goes well and I look forward to meeting you once baby is here and you feel human again.

MrsMagooo · 09/01/2009 15:33

I'm still waiting to feel human again

Mung · 09/01/2009 20:05

We haven't even met poor ray yet, so I was trying to be positive . I don't want to scare her, but I suppose I ought to rephrase to 'when you feel like you can get dressed'. I have only just managed to start getting dressed before 10am and my two are 18 and 21!

rrrayray · 10/01/2009 11:18

Mung - thats so funny!

don't sugar coat things ladies, i'm being realistic about things, i KNOW all isn't going to be peachy! ha!

Off for the SECOND time this week for monitoring at harwich as little bubba is not moving very much, sometimes at all. scary buisness. I am sure as soon as on monitor will have a party, just like last time! Feeling a bit like a drama queen!

Ray don't worry - that's what the MW's are there for, they'd much rather you go in & be monitored then sat at home worrying.

I lost count of the times I went in to be monitored with DD - she used to be completey still til a monitor was put on lol!!

pooter · 10/01/2009 16:20

Hi rrray, yep, try not to worry too much - one of my NCT friends never felt her baby move - he was really motionless, but he is now a healthy happy 2yr old. It is scary but doesnt necessarily mean anything untoward.

And just think - it cant be that bad, most of us have more than one, or are thinking about the next one.....

rrrayray · 10/01/2009 20:52

Was at Harwich for alot longer than i expected, nearly 5 hours in total! !!monitored once, then MW wanted registrar Obs opinion, so spoke to him on phone, who was happy with everything, but asked for trace to be sent by fax just incase. So i was putting shoes back on and coat, when MW came back in and said after seeing trace he wasn't happy with it, and wanted me to be monitored for another 30 mins minimum. So went back on monitor for about 45 mins... and trace was "reactive" despite me still not feeling any movements! Registrar happy with second trace so allowed home. But poor midwife was dealing with me, as well as running normal antenatal appointments. if no movement tomo have to go back in, if not got consultant appt 9.30 am monday morning.

Am now back at home with big bag of Cookies, under duvet on couch with OH and roaring fire watching Tv.

Very much looking forwards to LO putting in an arrival soon!

That was a long visit. At least they are on the case and you are being watched regularly. Sending labour vibes....

MadameCastafiore · 11/01/2009 15:28

Just stuff as much chocolate down your neck as you can is my advice - do it before that LO comes and you don;t have to feel guilty.

Hope all goes well for you and we get to meet you and LO soon.

(And I can honestly say that I manage to get dressed very early but those other slovenly colchester mothers, especially Mung, are a sight to behold so please don't worry if you end up round one of ours having coffee in your PJ - I am the only one who will have raised eyebrows! )
