Neighbour says her dad is a member of the scottish/swedish society. She knows they celebrate it and will ask him.

Will get back to you when I have a reply.

There is a Scottish Swedish society in Edinburgh which seems to be quite active though we haven't made it along yet. My partner is Swedish and we are bringing up our little boy to be bilingual. One of their websites seems to be
www.myspace.com/_scottish_swedish_society
which includes the Lucia celebrations, films, coffee mornings, kids groups etc.

Maybe we will see you there if we make it along.

Hey christiana. Did you go?

There is a Scottish Swedish Society, we don't have an official website, but I set up a myspace page;
www.myspace.com/_scottish_swedish_society and a facebook group called Scottish Swedish Society.
The main activities are Midsummer and Lucia. There is also a playgroup once a fortnight at the creche at Goodtrees Community Centre. It's a chance for the Swedish parents to meet up with the younger children and speak Swedish. A few Norwegian kids also attend sometimes.
