What do other working Mums do with their 10 year olds in the Summer holidays?

I live in Southsea, PO4 area, and I am a single working parent with a 10 year old daughter. I have to work when she's off school, and start the continual search for places she can be whilst I do my part-time 10 - 3 job. Are there any places that have a program for this age group so that I can get this arranged prior to the holidays? What do other Mums do?

don't know if this helps but the pyramids are offering a six week pass for £15 for children to use you have to buy before the holidays actually start but then unlimited use also most holiday schemes etc are listed with portsmouth chat they can send a summer activities list to you 02392 695000

Thanks for your answers. I didn't go for the job in the end and will start a nerw job search after the school holidays are over. My point was not so much for fun but something like a daycare center for older children, structured hours etc, that you can go to work and know they are in a safe environment with supervision and proper routine (something like a school program but not so studious, more fun). I have lived in a few countries, and I am starting to realise that here in UK - unless you are rich and can afford private summer camps, there isn't much in the way of support for Mums who work! This is my second year here, and to be honest my bosses were kind enough to let her come in thru the Summer, she's quiet and did bits and bobs etc... it was also a family oriented business, and they were friends, but now that job has conme to an end, I got another job, but have the hols looming infront of me. How does the government really expect people to support themselves when they have children who are not inderpendant yet? It seems very old fashioned and not geared correctly to encourage single mums to go to work.
