Anyone live near or on Crieff? Or are you familiar with it? Would you move there? How would you compare it to the areas South of there, like Nightengale Triangle or between the commons? Thanks!

I think I saw another posting from you about moving to London from NY.

I'm from Albuquerque, went to college in NY and have lived in London since 2000. Be happy to help you get used to the area.

We live between the commons and love it. I would go for it or Nightengale Triangle over Crieff Road. It's a bit far from shops.

Also, if you're looking for good state schools - Honeywell School is supposed to be very good.

Usually in London there aren't catchment areas. They let people in by distance (by foot) from the school gates to your house, so the closer you are to a school, the higher chance you have to get in to it.

I'm 27 weeks with my first, so don't know that much about schools yet. Are you still in NY or over in London yet?

Hi thanks! I love it between the commons. In the past few weeks, I've spent a lot of time along Northcote Road and think we'd be really happy around there. I'll look into Honeywell School thanks! The thing about Crieff Road is that the house instantly appealed to both of us -- we sort of fell in love with it so we're trying to figure out if we could make the area work at all. If not, we have also liked a lot of houses between the commons and in the triangle, so I'm just looking forward to settling somewhere finally! We've been renting for two years here (so when I said we'd just moved here, that's not exactly true but it is true that we've just decided to stay fairly permanently and raise kids here, etc). What brought you over here initially, if you don't mind my asking?

We had our first 6 months ago here (at St. Marys, Lindo Wing). How are you doing? Are you going to a hospital around there?

Hi,

Where are you living now? Do you know this area at all. Earlsfield is definitely cheaper than the other two areas, so you will get more house for your money, but then you have to trade that off with the surroundings.

I have friends near Wimbledon Park and they really like the area. It's about the same price as Earlsfield and the transport links are good. It's fairly quick to Wimbledon and Putney.

I came over here because of a boyfriend (of course!) The boyfriend is long gone, but now I'm married to another Brit, so I'm here for the duration. I already had dual citizenship through one of my parents, so it was logistically easy to move here.

Other than mornin sickness in the first trimester, I've had a remarkably easy pregnancy. I am booked in at St George's, but have hired an independant midwife and am hoping to have a home birth. I just really hate hospitals and the longer I can stay out, the happier I'll be!

What brought you over?
