Hello my needs are simple but numerous.

Request 1

Any recommendations for a good babysitter? My son is 9, my daughter is 10 months old and my husband and I haven't been out together since I got pregnant with her. She doesn't take too kindly to me leaving her so it would have to be someone v. experienced.

Request 2

are there any activities for parents and babies that are chiefly for the parents beyond just coffee mornings?

Request 3

Something for my 9 year old - we've gone from loads of outdoor space to a postage stamp-sized standard issue London garden. Boys need to be run off like dogs otherwise bad things happen. I'm looking for some after school sporting activities - football, athletics anything really!

Request 4

Guitar teacher for my son. He's a demon guitar player (into Hendrix, Red Hot Chili Peppers and KT Tunstall) and really needs a mentor rather than a traditional teacher. so I'm looking for a musician who wants to take a child prodigy under their wing.

That's enough to be going on with!

HI there

Sorry you haven't had much response to your queries - Loca Talk is still a pretty new adventure for even the most seasoned Mumsnetters, but we're hoping it will improve as more people find out about it!

Request 1. Folks guard their sitters very jealously I find, but a good place to get someone both reliable and good with littlies is either Hopes and Dreams agency (City Rd) or KiwiOz nannies. Alternatively ask at your son's school?

Request 2 Hmm. My youngest is now 2 and I work 3 days a week. On the days off I do Tick Tock (an islington institution but pretty child centred) and gymnastics at the Talacre in Kentish Town, which is great for getting safe space to run around in but not exactly chatting territory. The one o clock club in Highbury Fields can be quite friendly... but I know what you mean and can't think of anything - sorry

Request 3

Champion soccer school or Regents Park FC have fab after school footie as well as holiday sessions - and are pretty reasonable. Champion do sessions at Islington Green - Talk to Duncan. The Regents Park sessions are in regents park or Dartmouth Park but last an hour and a a half and they have a team that play in Market rd.

Think they do athetics at Finsbury Park and there's indoor tennis at the Islington Tennis centre or outdoors at Highbury fields

Nightmare! I need one too, so if you find one please let me know!

Welcome to Islington anyway and apologies again for the lack of early response.
