Alexandra Park children's learning community.
80 Demesne Rd, Manchester M16 8PH
Please do not send your child to this place.
There are chickens and they get into the baby room (under 2) and defecate on the floor.
There is a mouse infestation and it has been recommended to close the preschool for at least a day to fumigate, but because they would loose money, they haven't done it. Despite regular cleaning, there are hundreds of mouse droppings, and live mice.
There isn't enough staff, and sometimes it means that the legal ratios are not maintained, eg 2 staff looking after 14 under 2s.
The owners recently sold the business for hundreds of thousands, possibly over a million and have just walked away.
Parents, your children deserve so much better. You work so hard to be able to afford childcare for your children. £150 registration fee, £40 for a tour. All they care about is money and not the welfare of your children.
4th december Update environmental health have inspected the place, mouse droppings found in every single room, including where children eat, sleep and play and not just a few, but literally 30-50 droppings under a unit. This has been going on for a long time, and the nursery didn't do enough.
Managers are more concerned about their jobs rather than child safety. No one has told the parents that there is a prolific rodent infestation, instead they have 2 days to show improvements or else they close permanently. Parents should be told. They need to make an informed choice about whether or not they send their children to such a place.
